Terms of Service — SYNTRAX
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SYNTRAX mobile application ("the app", "SYNTRAX"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use SYNTRAX. By using the app, you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have a parent's or guardian's permission.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to sign in (Apple ID, Google account, or email/password).
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- One account per person.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Use of the app
SYNTRAX is a personal health, nutrition, and fitness tracking tool. You agree to use it lawfully and in good faith.
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law.
- Use the app to harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Submit content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or violates anyone's privacy.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or our infrastructure.
- Use the app to scrape, mine, or otherwise harvest data.
- Use automated systems to interact with the app at scale.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Health and medical disclaimer
SYNTRAX is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice. Everything the app produces — calorie and macronutrient targets, AI-generated meal plans, workouts, running and cardio sessions, exercise instructions, readiness scores, and any coaching content — is general information and recommendation, not a health, treatment, or nutrition plan prepared for your individual circumstances. SYNTRAX does not know your medical history and cannot examine you.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider:
- Before starting any new diet or exercise programme
- If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or postpartum, or are taking medication
- If you are returning to exercise after injury, surgery, or a long break
- Before relying on app outputs for medical decisions
Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or did in SYNTRAX. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
4a. Physical activity and nutrition — assumption of risk
Physical exercise carries an inherent risk of injury, and changes to diet can affect your health. Applying training or nutrition guidance incorrectly, or without regard to your own health, capability, and how you feel on the day, can cause harm — including muscle and joint injury, overtraining, dehydration, or adverse effects from under- or over-eating.
You are responsible for judging whether a given session or target is appropriate for you, and for adjusting or skipping it when it is not. In particular:
- Warm up, progress gradually, and stop any exercise that causes sharp or radiating pain.
- Stop immediately and seek medical help if you experience chest pain, dizziness, fainting, or unusual shortness of breath.
- Exercise instructions and safety tips in the app are written for a general audience and cannot replace supervision by a qualified coach where that is needed.
- Calorie and macronutrient targets are estimates derived from the data you enter; they are not clinical prescriptions and are not suitable for managing a medical condition or an eating disorder.
To the extent permitted by law, you use SYNTRAX's training and nutrition content voluntarily and at your own risk.
4b. Coaching and shared content
Where a trainer, coach, or another user shares workouts, plans, or nutrition guidance with you through SYNTRAX, that content is created by that person and not by SYNTRAX. We do not review, endorse, or verify it, and the disclaimers in sections 4 and 4a apply to it in full.
5. AI-generated content
Some features (meal planning, AI assistant, food recognition) use third-party AI models. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your individual circumstances. You use AI-generated content at your own risk. Always verify nutritional information against authoritative sources before acting on it.
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you upload (meal photos, descriptions, goals, notes). You grant SYNTRAX a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate the app and provide you the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not infringe third-party rights and complies with applicable law.
7. Social features
If you use friends, shared plans, or any social feature:
- You may report or block other users at any time from their profile.
- We may remove user accounts that engage in harassment, abuse, or illegal behaviour.
- Public information (display name, profile photo, user tag) is visible to other authenticated users by design.
8. Subscriptions and purchases
SYNTRAX may offer paid features in the future via in-app purchase. If you purchase a subscription:
- Billing is handled by Apple.
- Refunds are subject to Apple's policies.
- You can cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your personal data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.
- These Terms continue to apply to past use of the app.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNTRAX AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Where applicable law does not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by that law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the SYNTRAX operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for any dispute not subject to arbitration.
